Wonju DB (KBL) re-signed 29-year-old American 185cm guard Ethan Alvano (college: CSUSM) for the upcoming season. He joins another USA player Henry Ellenson who is already on the roster. Alvano has played there for the last three seasons, helping them win the cup. He had a great season, being voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-South Korean League All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week, and Asia-Basket.com All-South Korean League Third Team.
He is a very experienced player. Alvano has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played professionally in Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Korea, Philippines (Beermen) and Thailand (Hitech).
Among many awards, he was selected as the Asia-Basket.com All-South Korean League Guard of the Year in 2024.
It is worth mentioning that he also played at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him secure a job in professional basketball.
Alvano graduated from California State University San Marcos in 2018 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. He played also for Eastern Michigan University for 2 years.
